Ignatius Golba, 83, of 229 N. Hawthorne, died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. He retired in 1958 from the Studebaker Corp. Born on .June 5, 1893 in Karniewo, Poland, he lived here 63 years since coming from Poland. On Jan. 29, 1916, in South Bend, he married Stefania Drzazgowski, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Edward F. and Leonard V. both of South Bend and a daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Dalka of South Bend; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 am Monday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church with buriial in St Joseph Cemetery. Golba was a member of the Polish Alma Mater of Chicago.
