Edward F. Golba, 64, of 229 N. Hawthorn Drive, died Tuesday morning in his home after an extended illness. He was retired from the AM General Corp. Born on Oct. 4, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, he lived in South Bend for 62 years, coming from Cleveland. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Dalka of South Bend; a brother, Leonard Golba of South Bend, and his mother, Mrs. Stephania Golba of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir's Catholic Church, with Rev. Howard A. Kuhns, C.S.C., pastor officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He was a member of Pulaski Post 357 American Legion, West Side Democratic and Civic Club, Local 5 UAW, and was a WW II US Army veteran. He attended St. Casimir in South Bend.
