SOUTH BEND--Services for Leonard "Leo" Golba, 71,of Eisenhower Avenue, who died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral HOme, where a parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mr. Golba retired in 1981 from the St. Joseph County Police Department and was head of security at the Holiday Inn, Roseland. He was born April 5, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 20, 1943, in South Bend, he married Lottie Wadzinski. She survives with three daughters, Suzanne Reeves of Saline, Mich., Constance Smith of Mishawaka and Judith Zehner of Alma, Mich.; a son, Thomas L. of South Bend; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Genevieve Dalka of South Bend. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Ushers Club, both of the church, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 155, served as an assistant precinct committeeman, and was a World War II Veteran of Italy and European Theater.
