SOUTH BEND - Genevieve Cecelia (Golba) Dalka passed away quietly in her sleep after an extended illness on June 28th, 2015, at 98 years of age. She was born on November 28th, 1916, to Ignatius and Stephanie Golba (both deceased). She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Xavior Dalka; and by her brothers, Edward Golba and Leonard Golba. Genevieve is survived by her only child, Janice (Dalka) Wilson; her son-in-law, Glenn M. Wilson Jr.; and her two grandchildren, Erin Wilson and Emilia Wilson; sister-in-law, Lottie Golba; nieces, Connie (Golba) Smith, Sue (Golba) Reeves and Judy (Golba) Zehner; nephew, Tom Golba; and extended family. Genevieve was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and longtime parishioner of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. She was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation for Genevieve will be Thursday, July 2nd, 2015, from 4 pm - 8 pm in St. Joseph's Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, July 3, 2015, with visitation one hour prior to Mass in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony de Padua Parish, 2114 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.
