Leo Jurgonski, 822 Harris St., died at 2:10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital after a week's illness. He was born in Terre Coupe on May 13, 1889, and came to South Bend 54 years ago from there. His wife Anastasia, died on June 30, 1959. Mr. Jurgonski had been employed by the St. Joseph Cemetery and Undertakers Assn., retiring two months ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Reiter and Mrs. Stella Skarupinski; four sons, Frank, Stanley, Richard and Daniel; six granchildren and a great-grandchild, all of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Rzepka of New Carlisle, Mrs. Sally Cencelewski, Mrs. Constance Buziak and Mrs. Tillie Kaminski, all of South Bend, and three brothers, Steve, Joseph and Valentine, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church with Rev. Bernard N. Niemier, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Jurgonski was a member of the Woodmen of the World, the Mruk Club and was president of the Jagiello Corp.
