Steve J. Vuckis, 57, of 1404 N. Ryer St., died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness. He was employed as an inspector at the Bendxi Corp. for 22 years. He was born Aug. 8, 1915, and lived all his life here. He was married on Nov. 24, 1938, to Anne Kolat, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Stephen J., at home; a daughter, Rose Marie Johnson of South Bend; a granddaughter, and a brother, George of East Moline, Ill. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church, Rev. William C. Hibbert, pastor, will officiate and interment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
