OPAL V, (BANNING) KAMPHUES

OPAL V, (BANNING) KAMPHUES , 83, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 at her home. Born in Cromwell, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. Surviving are her husband, Scott Kamphues of Fort Wayne; daughter, Candy (Douglas) Wellman of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Flossie Banning of Mishawaka and Marjorie Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn in 1949; and son, Ricky in 1954. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. Douglas Wellman officiating. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials to Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice, March of Dimes or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
