Mac McGowan was born in Tuscumbia, Mo to Perry Oscar and Sylvia Workman McGowan. On Oct. 31, 1946 he was maried in Eldon to Barbara Gayle Gentzsch McGowan, who survives at the home. He was a member of Miller County VFW Post 2442 in Eldon and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer for Civil Defense and ambulance services in New Carlisle, Ind. and also volunteered for Quality Industries in Indians. He is survived by four daughters and two sons, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchldren. He was buried in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett with full military honors presented by VFW Post 2442.
