June 16, 1923 ~ March 2, 2018 (age 94)
June N. Bozenski, 94, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. June was born on June 16, 1923 in Kingston, MI, to Mildred and Cecil Rohlfs, both of whom preceded her in death. On October 14, she married Walter Bozenski in South Bend. Together, they had three daughters, and June stayed at home to help raise them. A lifelong resident of the area, June attended Bertrand Bible Church in Niles, MI. June is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Frank) Nowicki of Lewisburg, PA, and Valerie (Dean) Hartke of Belize; son-in-law, Craig Ridout of South Bend; five grandchildren, Grace Hartke of South Bend; Danny (Jackie) Nowicki of Wilmot, NH; Bryan (Trisha) Nowicki of Sun Prairie, WI; Terry (Stacey) of Lemont, PA; Nancy (Ray) Adams of Harrisburg, PA; and two sisters, Francis Balog and Janon (Ben) Lucero. In addition to her parents Mildred and Cecil Rohlfs, June was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her daughter, Cynthia Ridout; her sisters, Cathy Scott and Vivian Wetzel; and her four brothers, Robert, Junior, Jerry, and Ford Rohlfs.June enjoyed going to movies and attending musicals with her husband Walter and daughter, Pam. She enjoyed getting together with her siblings and attending annual family reunions. She also enjoyed getting together with Craig and going to the beaches of Lake Michigan for people-watching, seeing the sun go down, and listening to taps at the end of the day on Lake Michigan. She will be missed by friends and family. She couldn't believe that she lived to be 94 but felt blessed to live such a long and mostly healthy life. So far, she has surpassed her siblings in living to be 94. Funeral services for June will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with visitation from 10:00-11:00am and service at 11:00am at Bertrand Bible Church, 1008 Ontario Rd., Niles, Michigan, 49120.
