Violet Mae "Rose" Wesolowski, 83, of Mayflower Road in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, in her home. Mrs. Wesolowski was born on August 3, 1914 in Lansing, Mich., and had lived in South Bend most of her life. She was a florist and co-owner of Erv's Garden and Floral Center, retiring in 1994. On August 20, 1941 in South Bend, as Violet Mae Albert, she married Ervin H. Wesolowski, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Donna (Alan) Darbe of Heartland, Mich; a son, William (Deborah) Wesolowski of Naperville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Pam and Susan Wesolowski, Kimberly Gradless, and Jeffrey and Dena Jozwiak; four great-grandsons, Luke, Reed, and Cole Gradless, and Joshua Zayler; two sisters, Claire VanDam and Mae Link, both of Tucson, Ariz; and by two brothers, Carl Ellis of Lansing, Mich. and Clifford Ellis of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 1998 in Kaniewski Funeral Home Chapel, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
