September 29, 1953 - September 11, 2022

Leah Frenkiel, 68, passed away September 11, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Moses and Rosa (Gelernter) Frenkiel. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Frenkiel. She is survived by her brother, Paul; niece, Lisa Herzog; great nephew, Richard Herzog and great niece, Ava Herzog. Leah received a Master’s degree in Education; and was a speech and hearing therapist for the Chicago School System. She devoted her life to caring for her parents who lost most of their family during WWII. A graveside service will be held at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery on Tuesday, September 13, at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi Michael Friedland officiating.
