===============

On Nov. 6, 1893, Rev. Val Czyzewski, Rector of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, married Emil Heyse and Anna Lewandowski.

According to the 1900 and 1920 census records of South Bend, Emil Heyse, a cabinet maker at the Singer Manufacturing Co., and his wife Anna, both born in German Poland, had immigrated in 1893.

The census records together with Indiana death certificates and St. Hedwig Catholic Church records indicate that the children of Emil and Anna Heyse included (in birth order): Wanda (aka Mandy), George, twins Klara and Zofia who both died young, Gertrude, Edmund, and Leocadia who died young.

Emil Heyse died in 1916 of tuberculosis and was interred in the South Bend City Cemetery. Anna died in 1935 and was interred in the South Bend City Cemetery.
