Carol A. Embry, 71, of Osceola, IN., passed away at 10:28 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at Sanctuary at Holy Cross South Bend. Carol was born on March 29, 1942 in Mishawaka, IN., to Charles and Elsie (Frayman) Soens, who both have preceded her in death. On August 10, 1968 Carol married William Embry. William preceded her in death on June 18, 2010. Carol is survived by her children, Eric (Michelle) Embry of Mishawaka, IN., and Jessica (Chris) Fragile of Charleston, SC., two grandchildren, Julia and Paxton Fragile, two sisters, Janice Barcus and Patty Feyos both Mishawaka, IN. Carol earned her Master's Degree at Ball State University and she was a teacher teaching first and second grades at Northside School in Mishawaka which later was renamed Liberty School. Carol was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Red Hat Club. Family and friends may call on Sunday, July 21, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road, Mishawaka, where there will also be visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Father John Eze will officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
