Son of Adam & Stella (Lisek) Czarnecki.

Age 74 of Fredrickson St., died at 7:50 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center after a brief illness. He was employed at the former Studebaker Corp. for 22 years. He retired in 1986 from Michiana Machine and retired in 1995 from Klem Supply Inc. after 10 years of service. He was a life long area resident. A veteran of US Army Air Force in World War II; a member of St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church; served as a volunteer at the Battell Center. Services at St. John's and burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Married to Marie A. Maternowski on 10-15-1947 who survives; with two daughters, Mrs. Leanne DeLater and M.s Mary Czarnecki of South Bend; three sons, William J. of Bremen IN.,David J/ and Mark S/; two granddaughters and seven grandsons.
