Chester J. Zakrzewski, 42, formerly of South Bend, died at 6pm Sunday in the Veterans Hospital, Portland OR. He had resided in Portland for the last six years. A Former Studebaker Corp. employee, he was born on November 6, 1921, in South Bend. He is survived by his father, Joseph Zakrzewski, of South Bend; two sons, Michael of Portland and Mark of Enterprise WA; a brother, Joseph Jr., of South Bend and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Nowak, Mrs. Evelyn Marlin and Mrs. Patricia Forker, all of South Bend.Friends may call after 7pm today in the ST Joseph Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30. Services will be at 9am Saturday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. He was a veteran of WW II.

Pallbearers at services for Chester J. Zakrzewski, a former South Bend resident who died Sunday in Portland OR, will be Raymond Flowers, Edward Cukrowicz, Richard Janowiak, Leo Kush, Al Tarlicki and Daniel Szymanski.
