GRANGER - Angela S. Sobecki, 85, passed away at 6:30 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in her home. Angela was born November 4, 1929, in South Bend, to Jerome and Veronica Jaworski. Angela was married to Casimer Sobecki, who preceded her in death in June 1979. Angela was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Jaworski; sister, Dorothy Durski; and grandson, Jeremiah Sobecki. Survivors include sons, Mike Sobecki of Osceola, Dale (Paula) Sobecki of Granger; daughter, Becky Nickelson of Mishawaka and son Russ Sobecki of Mishawaka; and grand-daughters, Jeanette Nickelson of Mishawaka, Rachel (Eric) Cheek of Ft. Meyers, FL, Malissa Wade of Mishawaka, and Shelly Driggers of Charlottesville, NC; grandson, Michael Sobecki of Elkhart; great-granddaughters, Mayson Cheek and Cassandra Sobecki; and great-grandsons, Micah Cheek, Cameron Wade, Calvin Wade, and Gregory Driggers. Angela graduated from St. Joseph High School. She retired from China Garden Restaurant. She was a member of the Granger Garden Club. Visitation is 9-11am, Tuesday, November 3, 2015, in St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am in the church. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics of St. Joseph County or to the donor's choice.
