Michael Allen Sobecki, 70, of Osceola, entered into his eternal home on February 8, 2022. He was born on June 3,1951 to the late Casimir and Angela Sobecki. He was also preceded by a brother, Russell Sobecki. He is survived by his two daughters, Malissa Wade and Shelly Driggers; a son, Michael (Ashley) Sobecki; 8 grandkids, Cassandra Sobecki, Cameron Wade, Calvin Wade, Gregory Driggers, Bell Driggers, Lauren Behl, Bramdon Behl, and Myla Sobecki; 2 siblings, Dale (Paula) Sobecki and Rebecca Nickleson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike had a passion for hard work, integrity, and respect. He was a man of great strength, chose not to retire, and spent 40 years in the RV industry with Michiana RV as its first service tech, Michiana Easy Livin’/Coachmen, and Forest River. He was a very skilled mechanic and handyman. He repaired vehicles, RVs, and anything else that needed fixing. He disliked traffic yet loved to spin tires. He loved life and lived it to the fullest each and every day. He was a true friend that could always be counted on, and he was always there to lend a hand without even being asked. He was a very kind soul with a generous heart, donating to numerous charities. He had a great sense of humor and loved to spend time with his grandkids. He always found a way to enjoy life. He has truly touched the lives of many. Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home: 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church: 52553 Fir Rd, Granger, IN 46530. Friends may visit one hour before the funeral mass. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. The Mass will be live-streamed at StPius.net or facebook.com/StPiusGranger. Face masks are required to enter the Funeral Home and preferred for Church services.
