From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, Tuesday, July 11, 1995:
SOUTH BEND - Ethel "Jane" Howlett, 71, of Kenwood Avenue, died at 5:43 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Howlett was born May 24, 1924, in South Bend. On Jan. 19, 1945, in South Bend, as Ethel Waggoner, she married Elmer W. Howlett. He survives with three sons, Dana, Charles and Michael, all of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a brother, Leslie Waggoner of Granger.
