Atlanta - Bruce J. Bortone, Atlanta, Indiana formerly of Mishawaka, passed away at 1:41 p.m., on August, 26, 2021 in the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Bruce was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on July 16, 1956 to Maragret Plasschaert and Joseph M. Bortone. They preceded him in death along with his brother, Doug Bortone. He is survived by his brother, Greg Bortone (Michele) and his stepmother, MaryAnn Bortone. Bruce grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana and graduated from Mishawaka High School. He worked in the Club Industry, most recently at Norwood Hills Country Club, in Saint Louis, Missouri. Bruce moved to Atlanta, Indiana to be near a special niece and nephew Christy and Michael Bortone and their children, Colin and Gracie with whom he enjoyed many family dinners and celebrations. Bruce enjoyed cooking, gardening, and socializing. Bruce will be laid to rest in a private committal service at Chapel Hill Cemetery, but the family asks that you remember him in your own special way.
