Peggy Bouris, 85, of Granger, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at her residence. Peggy was born June 23, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to the late Constantine and Stavroula Argetakes. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Kanalos, Mary Stearns, and brother, James Argetakes. On Feb. 19, 1961, in South Bend, Peggy married Christ P. Bouris, who survives, along with her son, Peter (Jennifer) Bouris of Granger, and grandson, Kieran Bouris, who was the new love of Peggy's life. Peggy was the co-owner of Bouris restaurant in Niles, longtime member of St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, the Daughters of Penelope, and longtime member of the Good Samaritans. To her many friends, Peggy was a longtime fixture of their family and support structure, during illness and times of need. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at Saint Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, 52444 N. Ironwood Dr., with Rev. George Konstanto-poulous officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family 4 8 p.m. today at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., where a Trisagion service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friends may also visit the family one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, 52455 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46635.
