Imre A. Vicen , 54, residing on West Ireland Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away following an apparent heart attack at 7:53 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital. He was born June 1, 1949, in Sopron, Hungary, and had lived in South Bend since 1981, coming from Sopron. On June 28, 1975, in Sopron, he married Gyongyi Susan Varga, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Csabi (Jessica) Vicen and Thomas (Brandie Ozmon) Vicen , both of South Bend; his mother, Maria (Kiss) Vicen ; and by a brother, Istvan Vicen , both of Sopron. Mr. Vicen was employed as a tool-and-die maker with Elkhart Pattern Works, and had previously been employed with Capital Technologies in South Bend as a CNC machinist and tool-and-die maker. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, South Bend. He was an avid soccer enthusiast, and loved his Dachshund, "Rocky."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Rev. Derrick Sneyd, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 27, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S.
