Sandra Sue (Spence) Nevorski, 82, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away peacefully in Mishawaka on March 14, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born June 27, 1939 to the late John and Goldie (Madison) Spence in Detroit, Michigan. The family settled in El Cajon, California, where she graduated from Grossmont High School in 1957. This is also where she met and married her beloved husband James Leonard Nevorski on October 12, 1961. He preceded her in death, as well as her brother John William Spence. Known as “Sue” to her family and friends, she was a humble and caring woman who made everyone feel welcome. She worked over thirty years for Just Mailings in South Bend. Her hobbies included dollar store shopping, sewing, collecting pig figurines, and watching Food Network or the Hallmark Channel, especially the mystery stories. Her favorite mantra was, “There’s a reason for everything.” Cherishing her memory are her children Audra (Mike) Hershberger and Eric (Katrina) Nevorski of Mishawaka; grandchildren Jay, Alex, Tony (Kaylee) and Nick Hershberger, Davis and Karenna Nevorski, Drake (Mia) and Kalee Masterson; great-grandchildren Iden and Declan. Services will be at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N Main St., Mishawaka on Monday, March 21 at 11am, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 20 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home. The family would like to extend special thanks to Golden Living Center of Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Online condolences may be made to the Nevorski family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
