Leo A. Futterknecht
Leo A. Futterknecht, aged 71, died in his home, 326 Milburn court, at 8:15 oclock Friday morning, after an illness of four months. He was born in Baden, Germany, April 9, 1870, and came to Mishawaka from that country. His wife, the former Freda Barth, to whom he was married April 11, 1981, died Oct. 8th 1938. He is survived by five sons, Godfrey, Otto, Leo, Joseph and Richard, all of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Trippel, also of Mishawaka; and two sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Bruggner, of South Bend, and Mrs. Sadie Bickel, of Mishawaka. Mr. Futterknecht was a member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church and of the Holy Name society of that church, and of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Johns court, NO. 952. He belonged also to the Ball-Band Foremens club and to the Modern Woodmen of America. Funeral services were held at 9 oclock Saturday morning in St. Joseph church, with pastor, Rev. George J. Lauer, officiating, and burial was in the St. Joseph cemetery.
