NILES - Raymond H. Rigney, 79, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his home, of natural causes. He was born March 25, 1933 in Manchester, TN. He had lived in the Niles area since 1954, worked as a foreman in the mobile home industry and was known for collecting tractors. On June 9, 1956 in Niles, he married Suzann (Mathews) Rigney, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Joe Rigney of Reno, NV, Kevin Rigney of Niles and Raymond A. Rigney of Flint, MI; daughter, Cheryl Bloode of New Carlisle, IN; grandchildren, Kyle Miner, Bryce Bloode and Katie Duran; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Ewin L. Rigney of Manchester, TN; and two sisters, Helen Haley of Winston Salem, NC and Nancy Phelps of Manchester, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond M. & Dedie Rigney; one son, Dan Rigney; and two sisters, Evelyn Rigney and Jean Elrod. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall in Niles.
