[N26823] Kenneth Edward Glon
Sept. 28, 1955 - Dec. 22, 2020

CRUMSTOWN, IN - My final journey has come and God has carried me home. Kenny was born September 28, 1955 to the late Edward and Mary Jane (Wroblewski) Glon. He was also preceded in death by his son, Stephen Glon; and a sister, Shirley Gorby. Those left to cherish the memory of Kenny include his sister, Linda (Dave) Runyan; nieces, Laura (Junior) Gorby and Dawn (Jason) Gorby-Verhaeghe; and great-nephews, Zackary Gorby, and Hunter & Seth Verhaeghe. Kenny built his own home on the homestead in Crumstown surrounded by family, wonderful neighbors, and friends. He worked hard on the farm with his father, mom, sisters, nephews, and his sidekicks, Shaun & Ken Kolacz. He loved farming, trucking, NASCAR, John Deere, auctions, fireworks, football, dancing, parades, tractor pulls, the lake, car racing, cartoons, a good steak, and cooking, especially for his nephews. He won trophies in demolition derby and dirt bike racing. Kenny drove a semi-truck for many years, earning the 1 million miles of safety driving award with Holland Co and many safety awards through other trucking companies. He worked for Whitefarm, AM General, Roadway, Conway, and Holland. Kenny was a member of the CCC, Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club, Little Club, VFW, American Legion Post 284, and SAL, and he was an Honor Guard. He grew the largest green peppers and delivered bushels to his friends, family, and legion buddies, who also got cases of hotdogs. Kenny loved God, family, friends, old timers, was quick with a joke, a great storyteller, grill master, hardworking, and a big winner with a big heart. He beat cancer twice; never did we think it would be back and take him so quickly. If we'd had time, Kenny would be throwing a big party on Glon's Farm with all of us. Drive on my brother, on that highway to heaven, you will be so missed. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, Mayflower Rd. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family can be made at www.sjfh.net.
