BUCHANAN, MI - Janet Ann Teifke, 78, of Buchanan, passed away on August 20, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Mishawaka of natural causes. Janet was born July 20, 1940 in Oronoko Twp., MI to Edward & Anna (Lohroff) Reisig, both of whom have preceded her in death. On July 11, 1959 in Berrien Springs, she married Carl Teifke, who preceded her in death. She worked as a farmer and later at the Wolverine Gardens of Glendora. Janet enjoyed working with her family in the greenhouse for 35 years. Surviving family includes her three sons, Robert “Bob” Teifke, Richard Teifke, and Dave Teifke, all of Buchanan; one daughter, Diane (Jerry) Serry of New Carlisle, IN, four granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren. No services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice. Hoven Funeral Home, Inc. of Buchanan is handling arrangements for the family.
