Victor SLANAC, 69, of 3216 S. Chippewa Lane, Muncie, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. He had been in failing health 1 1/2 years. He was born March 1, 1915 in Yugoslavia to George and Violet ZANIER SLANAC. He lived most of his life in Hammond before moving to Muncie 7 1/2 years ago. He was married Aug. 6, 1960 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul FLOOR, Silver Lake, to Irene FLOOR, who survives. He was a retired machinist, formerly employed by Carter Controls Co., Lansing, Ill. He was a member of the Silver Creek, Church of God. Surviving with the wife are four children, eight grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and a sister preceded in death. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Silver Creek Church of God northeast of Akron with the Revs. Randly L. SAMUELS and Herbert MILLER officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster & Good Funeral Home in Akron from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and on Tuesday at the church for an hour before services.
