Andrew M. Froh “Andy” DeWitt, MI
Our beloved husband, father, and brother passed away July 16, 2012 at the age of 61. He was born May 16, 1951 in Lansing, the son of David and Ruth (Woods) Froh. Andy attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary and Gabriel’s Catholic High School. He graduated from Michigan State University. Andy retired from the Michigan House of Representatives after many years of service. After retirement he found great joy and accomplishment working with special needs children in the DeWitt School system. An avid sailor, Andy kept a boat on the water in Suttons Bay for many years. Andy will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, gentle spirit and willingness to help anybody in need. He loved and cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife Jacki; his very special and loving son Drew; brothers, Bob (Barb Baker), Mike (Lori, Michelle and Rob), Tom (Michael), and Jim (Angela); and sisters, Laura (Don, Alex & Brandon Apmann) Hoopes, Becky (Tim) Byrnes and Ann Marie (Tim, Hanna and Logan) Holtkamp. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI, with a private memorial service to be held at a later time.
