SOUTH BEND, IN - Lois June Studt, 86, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in her home. She was born on June 16, 1932 to William Lawrence and Hazel (Quadlin) Thibideau in Michigan City, IN. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Evelyn Teets, and Vernon and Russell Thibideau. On August 21, 1950, she married Louis R. Studt (Niles) in Michigan City, IN. Louie passed away on January 10, 2010. Lois is survived by three daughters, Debra (Richard) Joy, Nancy Brown, and Bunnie (Greg) Joy; and one son, Raymond “Butch” (Joy) Studt all of South Bend, IN; nine grandchildren, Melissa deFerbrache, Harmon Wingeart, Billie Jo Mow, Donald (Kelli) Brown, Amanda (Ryan) Hayes, Johnnel (Scottie) Chandler, Crystal (Ryan) Smith, Raymond “RJ” Studt, and Jubille Blake; great-grandchildren: Joni and Richey (Clover) deFerbrache; Johnathon, Daniel, Jacob, and Bengerman Mow; Cameron Brown, Damien and Omi Smith, and Melliny, Bella, Lenny, JoAnna, and Savannah Chandler; and one great-great-grandchild. Lois worked as a mother and homemaker, as well as a bank teller and home health provider. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Decolores 82, Emmaus, Kentucky Colonel (Turtles), NCHA (Rovin Hillbillies), ABWA, and Beta Chi Sorority. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday, October 1, 2018 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. A “Celebration of Her Life” will be held the following morning at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, with Pastor Jonathan Anderstrom officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church, 3001 West Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46628.
