Rose was born on May 2, 1929 in South Bend to Michael and Mary (Wiesinger) Mayerhofer. On July 31, 1948 in South Bend she married Julius J. Van Hulle who survives along with two daughters Dorothy (Michael) Bonadies-Downey of Indianapolis and Marsha (Terry) Kinney of South Bend, a son Thomas (Virginia) Van Hulle of South Bend 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Rose was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Van Hulle, son, Kenneth Van Hulle and brother John Mayerhofer. She was a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Society and the former DFV German Club Ladies Auxiliary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm Friday, June 24, 2016 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10am to 12pm Friday in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church or the Activities Dept at Healthwin.
