70th Wedding Anniversary
On February 15, 1947, Louis Demeter and Dorothy Adamski were united in holy matrimony at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church. To commemorate their monumental 70 year wedding anniversary, a thanksgiving Mass at St. Adalbert’s was said in their honor, and along with their children, hosted a luncheon at Post 357 for all of their family and friends. Louis and Dorothy were blessed with eight children. Six sons, David, Denis, Darryl, Donald, Dominic and Daniel, and two daughters, Yolanda (Hahn) and Cindy (Prater). Twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren have added many joyful memories to their matrimonial legacy. Louis and Dorothy have been residents of South Bend their entire lives and are still fortunate to boast reasonably good health and independent living.
