KOONTZ LAKE-Gloria Barko, 81, passed away May 2, 2010 in the ICU at Porter Hospital, Valparaiso Campus. Mrs. Barko was born May 18, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Margaret (Dreyer) King. On August 30, 1952 in Chicago she was married to Charles Barko. Survivors include her devoted husband of 57 years, Charles. She was the cherished mother of Deborah Moerman Millice (Deceased) (Jim), Lisa Mencke (Tom), Jack Barko (Gretchen), Lori Barko and Bob Barko. She was the loving grandmother of Lauren, Jack, Charlie, Katie, Andrew, Michael and Todd; great grandmother to Mikayla, Alissa, Erica, Joshua, Jessica, Gavin, Hannah and Heidee and dear aunt and friend to many. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) at St. Patricks Church, Walkerton. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 3-9 p.m. and Friday from 10:00-10:30 a.m. at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deborah Moerman Millice Memorial Fund for the benefit of Hannah and Heidee Moerman, 1st Source Bank, 411 Illinois St., Walkerton, IN 46574.
