The following obit appeared in the 11-4-1967 South Bend Tribune: MRS. HATTIE R STACHOWIAK, Mrs. HATTIE R STACHOWIAK, 75, of 1601 W Dunham St., died at 10:15 P.M. Friday at St. Joseph's Co Hospital after an illness of five weeks. She was born October 14, 1892 in Terra Coupe, and married on Nov 9, 1910 to FRANK STACHOWIAK, who died in 1957. Surviving are a son DANIEL "BUD" STACHOWIAK, and three daughters, i. MRS. VICTORIA "DORIS" SEKENDY, ii. MRS. GENEVIEVE "GENE" SZYMAREK AND MRS. Iii. GERTRUDE "GERTIE" LADEWSKI, all of South Bend; six grandchildren and a brother LARRY LASKOWSKI, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 P.M. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 A.M. Monday in St. Casimer Catholic Church, Rev. George Szymanowski, C.S.C. pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. She was a member of the Ladies Civic Club, Polish Women39, Democratic Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 3194, VFW. The rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home.
