SOUTH BEND - Born January 11, 1925, in LaPorte, IN, he passed away peacefully in Federal Way, WA, on August 31, 2014, at age 89. After graduating from Central HS in South Bend, he served as an Army Air Force pilot during WW II. After the war, he graduated from the University of Indiana and worked for Boeing on the Minuteman, Apollo, and AWACS programs until his retirement in 1987. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kathryn Zyzak. A funeral service will be held at the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church today, September 12, 2014.
