NEW CARLISLE - Services for Geza Szucs, 76, of Lakeside Health Center in Michigan City, who died at 8 a.m. in St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, will be noon Tuesday in Amen Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. He was a former employee of the former Singer Manufacturing Co. He retired as a self-employed construction worker. He was born September 16, 1913 in South Bend and he lived in the area for most of his life. On April 3, 1937, in South Bend, he married Katherine E. Farkas. She died February 15, 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Irk of Michigan City; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Blankert and Elizabeth Tarr, both of South Bend; a half-sister, Theresa Kosik of South Bend; and two half-brothers, Steve and John Julius, both of South Bend.
