Roy Omer Cordes, 80, of 2902 W. Elwood Ave., died at 4:40 p. m. Saturday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Mr. Cordes was an employee of the former Studebaker Corp. and the former South Bend Toy Works. He was born Nov. 14,1910,
in Indianapolis and lived in South Bend for 50 years.
On June 18, 1938, in South Bend, he married Stella V. Gabrysiak, who survives. Also surviving are a sister,
Anna Black of Ohio; two brothers, Norman of Osceola and Arthur of Argos; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a. m. Tuesday in St. Mary Polish National Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p. m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p. m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
