[N6229] Theresa C. Flowers
April 30, 1946 - June 16, 2013
SOUTH BEND - Theresa C. Flowers, 67, passed away at 1:50 PM on Sunday, June 16th, in her residence after an extended illness. Theresa was born on April 30, 1946, in Germany to Jan and Bernice Puchala. On May 23, 1970, in South Bend, IN, she married Ronald J. Flowers, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2013. Mrs. Flowers retired from the South Bend Community School Corporation where she worked as a teachers aide. Theresa is survived by one daughter, Anne Marie Osgood of South Bend, IN; one son, Donald J. (Anna) Flowers of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and one sister, Rosemary (John) Cherrone of South Bend, IN. One's life becomes memories of another. Thereby, I pass on this cherished quote to you. "In one sense there is no death. The life of a soul on Earth lasts beyond her departure. You will always feel that life touching yours, that voice speaking to yours, that spirit looking out of other eyes, talking to you in familiar things she touched, worked with, loved as familiar friends. She lives on in your life and in the lives of others that knew her" Mrs. Flowers enjoyed gardening, and was an avid animal lover. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was very active within the church and served the Lord well. A memorial Mass will be held Monday, June 24th, at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend, with Rev. Ronald Tripi C.S.C. officiating. There will be 1 hour visitation in the church prior to service time. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. at 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Flowers family.
