SOUTH BEND - Ronald J. Flowers, 70, of South Bend, passed away at 1:00 AM on Tuesday, March 12th, at his residence after an extended illness. Ronald was born on March 7th to the late Joseph and Rose Flowers. He resided in the Michiana area his lifetime. On May 23, 1970, he married Theresa C. Puchala, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Anne Marie Osgood of South Bend, IN; one son, Donald J. (Anna) Flowers of Hawaii; and one sister, Patricia Weller of South Bend, IN. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and by three brothers, Robert, Jerry and Joseph Flowers. Ronald retired from South Bend Water Works after 32 years of service. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. You are not forgotten, loved one. Nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last, We will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by we'll miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face, No one can fill your vacant place. There will be no visitation or services, as Ronald's wishes were to be cremated and his family has honored those wishes. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Flowers family.
