SOUTH BEND - Irene M. Nagy, 84, passed away at 1:45pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Golden Living Center. Irene was born on May 10, 1930 in South Bend to Alex and Rose (Arr) Udvardy. She retired in 1992 from the University of Notre Dame after 24 years of service and was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church. On October 26, 1968, Irene married Louis Nagy. He died on September 14, 2011. Irene was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Udvardy, and a brother, Louis Udvardy. She is survived by a sister Violet Woltman and a brother Alex (Gerry) Udvardy and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm Monday, December 15, 2014 in Our lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00am-11:45am in Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 10:30am. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church.
