SOUTH BEND - Louis F. Nagy, 74, passed away Wednesday. Survivors include his wife Irene Nagy; a sister Klari (Sandor) Barath; brother Bela (Joan) Nagy and numerous nieces and nephews. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary Nagy and a brother Steve Nagy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 pm Monday, September 19, 2011 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Family and friends may call 10-11:45 am in the Zahoran Funeral Home. Memorial contributions made to the Center for Hospice Care.

SOUTH BEND - Louis F. Nagy, 74, passed away at 5:40 pm Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in the Golden Living Center. Louis was born on October 29, 1936, in Gyor, Hungary, to Frank and Terezia (Arszin) Nagy. He retired from the University of Notre Dame, and also was employed by the South Bend Community School Corporation. On October 26, 1968, in South Bend, he married the former Irene M. Udvardy, who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Klari (Sandor) Barath of Keszthel, Hungary; a brother, Bela (Joan) Nagy of South Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Nagy; and a brother, Steve Nagy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Monday, September 19, 2011, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:45 am in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
