EDWARDSBURG - Mary Jane Fisette, 83 years old of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at her home after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 6, 1932, in South Bend, the daughter of Ignatius and Mary (Botka) Olejniczak, and had lived in Michiana most of her life, except for time she spent with her husband, Robert, who was a career U.S. Marine, and him moving from one duty area to another. Mary Jane was a loving mother, and was the happiest when her home was filled with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They had many family gatherings when everyone would be home with mom and dad. Mary Jane was married Sept. 30, 1950, in South Bend, to Robert Henry Fisette, and he passed July 22, 2012. His time with the Marines was over 22 years. Surviving are their children, Barbara Ann Cartwright of Cape Carteret, NC, John Henry Fisette of Edwardsburg, Randy (Becky) Fisette of Edwardsburg, Damon Pierre (Pam) Fisette of Edwardsburg and Peggy Fisette of Edwardsburg. There are 16 loving grandchildren and 20 wonderful great-grand-children. Family and friends may gather at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12 East on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, from 10:00-11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Officiating will be Father Joe McCormick, pastor of the church, and interment will follow at Adamsville Cemetery, where she will be placed next to her husband, Robert. Arrangements are by the Paul E.
