SOUTH BEND Albin J. Jez, 79, of Lincoln Way West, died at 9:42pm Wednesday at St Josephs Medical Center. Mr. Jez retired in 1975 from the former Bendix Corp. He was born February 27, 1916, in South Bend. On May 3, 1941, in South Bend, he married Josephine Gorecki. She survives with three daughters, Sister Carol Jez of Sydney, Australia, Barbara Ore of Denver and Dorothy Fodrocy of South Bend; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Genevieve Trojanowski and Martha Trent, both of South Bend, and Veronica Smith of Whittier CA. A son, Raymond, died in 1994. He was a commentator and member of the choir of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, a veteran of World War II, American Legion Pulaski Post 357, Bowlers Country Club and St Peter & Paul Society. Services will be at 10am Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8pm Tuesday in St Joseph Funeral Home, where rosaries will be said at 4pm and 7pm.
