Stanley J. Machowiak

Stanley J. Machowiak, 65, of 56830 Elmer Ave., died at 5 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital. He was a retried Bendix Corp. employee. Born Jan. 23, 1909, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life. His wife, the former Phyllis Wozinak survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bernard of New Carlisle and Ervin of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Wachowiak of South Bend; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Vincent, Louis and Michael, all of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Chrapliwy and Mrs. Harriet Chodzinski, both of South Bend.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 9 a.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir's Catholic church. Rev. George H. Szymanowski, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. A rosary will be e recited at 7:30 p.m. today and a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
