GRANGER - William “Bill” Wisser, 75, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. Bill was born September 13, 1942, in Mishawaka, to William N. and Marion (Bowers) Wisser. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William N. Wisser; son, Matthew Allen Wisser; and a brother, Robert D. Wisser In the fall of 1964, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Bill married the love of his life, Norma (Galasso) Wisser, who survives along with two sons, Steve (Dalila) Wisser and Rodney (Jessica) Wisser, both of South Bend; his loving mother, Marion Wisser of Mishawaka; and grandchildren, Cody, Steven Jr. (Jackie), Joshua, Mia, Silas, Vincent and Royce; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was in the second graduating class of Penn High School in 1961. He was a youth baseball coach for Northside Little League and Harris Township for years. Bill retired in 2009 after 45 years, he worked for Nibco Tool & Die, Quarry's Tool & Die, American Tool & Die, and for his buddy, Ron Hoefle, at Granger Machine Tool & Die. Bill was a big New York Yankees fan, particularly Mickey Mantle and he loved Notre Dame football and especially Joe Montana. He was also an avid sportsman who liked hunting and target shooting.
Visitation for Bill will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Vigil Rosary to be prayed at 4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Thursday, November 9, 2017, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, with visitation 1 hour prior at the church.
