SOUTH BEND - Carol June Gondocs, 70, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, with her family at her side. She was granted her well-earned angel wings. Carol's final days were spent in the Hospice House due to a long illness. Carol was born December 6, 1945, to the late Carl and Lorraine (Wright) Ulrich. Carol is also preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Woodling; nephew, Robert Gondocs; and a brother-in-law, Joe Gondocs. Carol leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Stephen Gondocs; they were married September 26, 1980. She is also survived by a daughter, Sandra (John) Smeltzer; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Carol was a very giving person. She was a caretaker to many of her friends who have passed before her. She was a member of American Legion Post 357 Ladies Auxiliary. Carol loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all.A visitation for Carol will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.
