[N31434] Richard Steven Marshall
May 2, 1946 - February 17, 2022

Richard Steven Marshall, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Rich was born May 2, 1946, to the late Alex and Margaret Marshall (Borlik) in St. Joseph County, IN. He graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1964, served in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War and was an employee of RACO for 49 years. Even after his retirement from RACO, Rich continued to work part-time in security and automotive transportation. He is survived by Anne (Matthew) Reichold; Stephanie (Jason) Case (daughters of Tina L. Marshall); and Jennifer (Matt) Burks (stepdaughter of Kathy Marshall); and grandchildren, Joshua Case, Noah Case, and Alice Reichold; sister, Sylvia Ford; and brother, Michael (Marty) Marshall of Clearwater, FL. Rich was a loyal Catholic and a member and supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 30 years. He enjoyed telling a variety of jokes, imitating his love of vintage comedy routines. His punch lines were often delivered during his daily check-ins on his friends and family. A hopeful man, he regularly played the lottery and was an avid collector of cars. Rich was proud of his Polish heritage, always willing to help anyone and a friend to all. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, in Holy Family Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 1 p.m. A live stream of Mass will be available on the Holy Family Church website. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church (www.holyfamilysouthbend.org) and Alcoholics Anonymous (www.aa.org). Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
