Obituary from p. 34 of the 26 APR 1979 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:

. Mrs. Michalina Michalska, 87, of 1104 W. Hancock, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlyle Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born on Aug. 23, 1891, in Dembowiec, Poland, and moved to South Bend 65 years ago. In 1914 in South Bend as Michalina Zawisza she married Stanislaus Michalska who died on Feb. 14, 1945. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Dobrucki, and Mrs. Adell Radecki, both of South Bend; six grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wladyslawa Wronska of Poland, and a brother, Jan Zawisza, of Poland.
. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Hedwig Catholic Church with Rev. Matt Sienkiewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis; the Apostleship of Prayer; the Holy Rosary Society, and the Legion of Mary.
