SOUTH BEND - Marka A. Cote, 54, of South Bend, passed away on June 18, 2015, in South Bend. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, on June 28, 1960. She is survived by four children, Jennifer Evans of Mishawaka, Jessi Schriefer of South Bend, Jamie (Chris) Bennitt of Bremen, and Steven Cote Jr. of Mishawaka; six grandchildren, Breanna Tuohy, Hailey Evans, Chase White, Kevin Schriefer, Destiny Langon, and Carter Bennitt; her parents, Jerome and Beverly (Grajczyk) Otolski of South Bend; two sisters, Rebecca (Donnie) Pauley of South Bend and Theresa (Dan) Hill of South Bend; two half sisters, Angela Holmes of Niles and Susie Heminger of Mishawaka; one half brother, Michael Bozsanyi; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tracy Batdorf. Marka enjoyed being a mother and grandmother and she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She loved it when her entire family was together. Marka was an extraordinary cook and she loved preparing meals for her family. She always put the needs of others before her own. Marka's family will forever remember her as a great mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Private services will be held. Published in South Bend Tribune on June 24, 2015
