[N4558] Virginia R.C. Piech of South Bend, IN, died Saturday April 21, 2007 at 2:45 a.m. in Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born to Floyd and Emma (Nabicht) Catterlin in Carter, Montana. Virginia was preceded in death by; her sister Geraldine E. Guy and her brother, Floyd James Catterlin. Virginia graduated from Central High School of South Bend and Dental Hygiene School. In 1985 after 23 years, Virginia retired as a Dental Assistant and Office Manager for Dr. Edward Packard. Virginia had attended Zion United Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter Georgia G. (Philip) Niswonger and by her son, Thomas (Colleen) Piech, Jr. both of South Bend. She also is survived by six grandchildren, Todd Michael Piech, Stephanie (Shaun) Daugherty, Eric R. Piech, Scott B. Piech, Susan Niswonger and Noah Niswonger and by three great grandchildren, Alex, Ian, and Bridget Daugherty. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend with Rev. Michael Winkowski CPP.S. officiating. Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Service. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Health Center, Michigan City Indiana.
