BERRYMAN, Leona Helen - Of Flint, age 92, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Leona was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on May 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hedvig (Gennicki) Sutkay and was a resident of Flint since 1933, having come from Unionville, Michigan. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church since 1944. She was Past President and member of the Holy Redeemer C.C.W. Mrs. Berryman was a member of Daughters of Isabella Circle #530. She also organized and was the leader of Girl Scouts at Holy Redeemer for many years. Surviving are her 3 daughters, Marilyn and husband Walter Bartkowiak of South Bend, Indiana, Carole and husband Bill Olivo and Janice Berryman, all of Flint; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Dorothy and Eric Stimac of Flint. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Berryman, on December 24, 1996; son, Gerald, daughter, Lenore T. and granddaughter, Jacqueline.
